Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management Company Limited. (CEO and President: Takashi Saruta, "our company") has published its “Sustainability Report 2022-2023”.

This is our third issue of the report we publish annually. This year, we centered around our materiality (key management issues) identified in April 2022 in order to contribute more than ever to the realization of a sustainable society while we tried to communicate our approach and progress concerning various ESG themes in a way that our clients and other stakeholders can have better understanding. In addition, the report introduces stewardship activities, such as engagement with investee companies and the exercise of voting rights, which are the pillars of sustainability contributions in investment management operations, as well as asset management capabilities, such as integration of ESG elements into our investment processes, and initiatives related to corporate sustainability including DE & I and human capital.

While sustainability-related activities are a long term commitment towards 2050 and beyond, domestic and international trends are changing at a tremendous pace. We are committed to grasping these changes and working to improve the quality of life of our customers and to realize a sustainable society for the future.
